I'v had a nüvi 2340 LMT for a week now and cannot get it to work for me. When I put in an address and ask it to go, it invariably gives me a route I do not wish to take. I can find no way of altering this route. I have also tried the speed options.
I have put the addresses of a number of places and people into Favourites so I can pick them up easily but thats about all.
Is there an instruction book that teaches you how to use the device. The help pages tell you what you can do but not how to do it. The PDF download covers three models and I find I am reading about things my device cannot use or do.
I downloaded Garmin BaseCamp to my Mac and in there and I can alter the route to my liking but I cannot find it in the device.
My old device was simple, you clicked where to go, it made the route, if you didn't like it you click address or road No., and selected via and it created a new route and you were away. This was an old device with no map updates so was becoming a liability.
Your help would be appreciated before I return it to the shop.
