Cannot access GPS settings - Forerunner 405cx

I have a Forerunner 405cx which has worked well until recently. I can no longer access the GPS settings (on the left side of the bezel), as it automatically takes me to the Training setting instead. The training setting (on the right side of the bezel) works well. Not accessing the GPS settings means that I cannot turn off the GPS when I am in doors or in an area that blocks the satellite.
Any suggestions on how to fix?

Are you sure you are entering the training mode? If any type of navigation is active (e.g. navigating to a location that was never reached) the holding on the GPS side of the bezel will enter the navigation page directly. After entering this mode, you can press the quit button (lap/reset), which will return you to the GPS menu. From there you can stop the navigation which will return the watch to the previous behavior.
