Can't add manual activity

I'm unable to add a manual activity. When I enter the date and distance informatin, I get a rotating circle next to the fields. Hitting "save" does not produce an error message but the activity is not saved.

O/S: Windows 7 64 bit
Browser: IE 9

Any ideas on how to get around this?

Had exactly the same problem

I have the same o/s (windows 7 64 bit) and browser (ie9). It worked fine until a week or two ago. What seems to have fixed the problem it is to go to 'compatibility view settings' under the browser 'tools' menu, select 'compatibility view settings' and add garmin.com.
