Editing Saved Courses

Has anyone tried editing the path of a saved course? I have a course that I uploaded from my 310XT and the 1st 500 metres are off by about 100 meters. It's got me on a different street going in a circle. I've tried moving the RED line out to follow the proper path but as soon as I move it the slightest bit the entire first 3 kms changes streets.

You can add a fixed point by clicking on the route.

so you click on the route as from where you want to keep it, after that you can drag the start/finish to were you want and leave the rest intact.
