Running Windows7, 64 Bit, connected thru DSL. Bought a new nuvi 2555LMT last Thursday. Have yet to be able to download map updates. All registered, prelim stuff done. First attempt it said "Preparing Files to Download." and there it stayed with the small green marker travelling back & forth in the progress window. Later that night I checked; it showed approximately 75% done and said "17069 hours remaining." Really.
Tried again today - said error in setting up but also said it corrected it. Started download. At this time, it's been an hour and 45 mins and still says "Preparing files to download." with the the small green marker travelling back & forth
Customer Serv is still closed for the holidays. Unit seems to function properly on the road but I'd like to have the updated maps. When I sign in to Garmin, it recognizes me and says that the new North American Maps are ready.
Can anyone help? :confused:
