Hi I am new to the forum, I am having trouble getting the GPS working, it's showing the current location in Chicago but I am in new york at the moment. I register the project, and update the map, but I can't find anyway to solve this problem, also it is unable to find the satellite (I guess because it can't find the right location).
If you're in NYC (urban jungle) your 1450 (and any GPS) might have trouble picking up enough satellites to determine your location. GPS, unlike in Hollywood movies, requires a clear view of the sky. If you're in Manhattan that may be hard to achieve. What about taking a walk in Central Park? ;-)
Edit: BTW even with a clear view of the sky it'll take a GPS some time to determine your position after moving a large distance (e.g. Chicago to NY) while turned off. This is a technology issue not a problem with your 1450.
