Hi guys,
I would need some advice concerning a recent problem with my device.
I have a Garmin model Nuvi 3790t and a subscription of map lifetime update for Europe.
I was running the Nuvi 3790 with firmware version 4.5 and european map version 2012.20 and everything was fine.
Last weekend I have updated the firmware version to version 4.7 and I have also updated my european map version to version 2012.30 with success, as I could confirm on mygarmin.com web page.
But 2 days ago, when I've tried to use the GPS on the road, after a few minutes the graphics became blurry and I could not use the device again.
I have turned off the device, restarted...and again, after a few minutes I've had the same problem. The same for a third time.
Also, when I've tried to set a new destination (Where to - address), appeared the message: No map data available. I could only choose the destinations already inserted on my favourites.
When I was back at home I've decided to do a master reset on user data of the instrument to see if this problem could be solved.
Afterwards, I've powered up the device again and waited a few minutes for it to acquire the satellites.
Now, when I turn on the GPS and see my location on the maps, the roads are missing and only appears the landscape with railway tracks.
If I try to choose a destination appears: No map data available.
If I go to Tools-Settings-My maps, the device recognizes 2 maps: 1 - Cneu Dem Europe Dem, 2- CN Europe NTV 2012.30.
Shouldn't appear a 3rd one with the remaining data?
Please let me know what do you think and I would really appreciate if someone could help me to solve this problem as soon as possible.
Should I try to install again the new map? (is it possible to reinstall over the previous?)
Thank you very much for your attention
