I have been trying to set up my Nuvi 40LM and I cannot get a thing to work. I cannot even register the product online.
I am running a 32-bit Windows 7 operating system
Tried using Google Chrome 15, Firefox 8.0, and Internet Explorer 9.
Google Chrome shows the downloads in the folder, IE does not, and neither does Firefox (even though the communicator plug or updater were downloaded through these)
The communicator plugin does not work, the Lifetime Maps hangs on install, and the updater appears to be useless.
My usb port does however recognize the Garmin Nuvi 40LM, BUT that is about it. Talk about frustrating, I have been trying to do these tasks that should take 15 min for about an hour. Please help, thanks!
