garmin shuts down wifi

Hello , I have had my Oregon 450 for almost a year now and every time I plug it in to update my wifi connection immediately shuts down. When I unplug the Garmin my internet comes back. Has anyone had this problem? When I first brought the Garmin home it connected and I was able to register online and use Mapsource. I am using XP pro and service pack 3.

9 years later, I have the exact same problem with edge 705, WiFi shuts down when usb is connected. Win10. Anyone else had this?

Not sure if you'll get much help on the Garmin Connect forum. Being that the Edge 705 was released 13 years ago, might be better to post in the Edge 520 forum. https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-520-520-plus

Hi, thank you for the input, I got it sorted, not quite sure why, but changing the WiFi adapter and connecting the 705 to a usb 3 port worked
