Elevation profile starts at 0 feet

For some reason, my garminconnect has all of a sudden started beginning my elevation profile at 0 feet elevation. I live at 5,000 feet, so this makes my elevation profile look flat and completely off. Can I fix this?? Why has it suddenly started doing that?

    Same thing with pace data

I saw the same thing with my pace data graph. It now starts at 00:00 pace, so my pace plot is fairly useless as it is totally compressed on the lower portion of the chart.

I also don't know why they dropped the zoom +- buttons. I wonder if it has something to do with moving away from Adobe Flash. I noticed the other day that the graphs now show in safari browser on my iPod touch, so they must have converted over to HTML5 or some other non-Flash variant.
  • Garmin needs to fix this. And not change what's not broken!

This is a pretty recent bug. The last week, maybe. I don't know why anyone in software land would mess with this. It used to work, and still does in the Player mode. Fix it, Garmin!

I am having the same issue with the elevation starting at 0 ft. This really washes out the graph.

When can we expect a fix?

Another vote from Colorado to restore the vertical axis range to the data range.
  • Got the same problem here too in California. Though in looking over the graph, it doesn't seem to be affecting the actual ascent calculation, but it sure is annoying to look at...
  • I think they should have left well enough with those graphs. They don't seem to be able to figure out how to determine the new x-axis limits and resultant proportions when a person has dragged out an area.
  • I noticed this the other day too when I uploaded my cycling routes. Came here to this forum to see how to get back to what it used to be. The elevation profile is totally useless now. That was one of the better features of Garmin Connect. It needs to be "fixed" or to be reverted to what it used to be. Somebody, (a software programmer), goofed.

Well? Anyone hear anything? It'd be nice to see some sort of acknowledgement from someone who works at Garmin.

This is a user to user forum. Someone from Garmin might or might not read and reply to this thread.

It gets their attention better if you report the issue to Customer Support.

I noticed I have relief in my elevation plots again. Thanks, Garmin!
