Yesterday I connected my Garmin Nuvi to the web and downloaded new maps for it. Today, when I use the same cable to connect my Garmin 301 to my computer, the Training Center program gives me a message that says, "...a problem communicating with your device. Please make sure it is connected & try again." I've done this, including disconnecting and reconnecting each end o the cable and powering the laptop off and on. Any ideas?
I am having a similar problem with my Garmin Forerunner 301. I have been off the bike for two months due to an injury. I rode 20 miles today and neither Garmin Connect nor Training Center on my iMac will connect and upload my data from the device. Garmin Connect recognizes the device, but won't make any progress uploading, and Training Center will not recognize the device. Any one else having this problem?
I have a MacBook running Mac OS X 10.7.3 with BaseCamp 3.3.1 on it. When attaching my eTrex 30 (firmware 2.70) as a Mass Storage Device, I get the error "There was a problem communicating with the Garmin device." There doesn't seem to be any difficulty after dismissing the error dialog. Everything seems to work, but this is troubling. Anyone else getting this behavior?
