How to change user name?

I PMd jharms01 on Friday, and no response yet. But it seems I am not alone!

Can jharms01 or someone else help me - as I'm really stuck.
1) my user name is my email which I would like changed to preserve my anonimity
2) I cannot send PMs - I write them and press send & they disappear into the ether - & nothing appears in my sent box - so I have tried in vain to PM jharms01
3) I cannot start threads - there is no button I can click on to do this.

So the only thing I can do is respond to a thread which is what I'm doing, hoping that someone will help. I have only logged onto the forum to get some help with using my garmin oregon, but need to get these issues sorted out before I can even start getting my garmin questions answered. :(

Go to General settings in your account and set it to save sent messages. If you haven't they won't appear in your sent box even though you've sent them.

The 'post new thread' button will only appear top left if you're in a forum that allows it. The Windows one for example doesn't while the mac one does. All sub forums AFAIK allow new threads.

Thanks SUSSAMB - I have updated my PM settings - I have therefore sent jharms01 about 8 PMs since Sunday to change my account name and not received a reply. IS there anyone else I can contact to do this? Also how do I get to a 'subforum' to post a thread about issues I'm having with creating tracks in Basecamp?

Jharms is the only one AFAIK.

To post once you're logged in click on the Basecamp sub forum. Once there you'll see the Post new thread button top left.

Pity then that they do not even seem to read PMs sent to them, never mind reply.

This I regard as a serious breach of my privacy, and there seems nothing I can do about it.

We are currently only changing usernames for users who have accidentally used their email address as their forum handle.

I have the same problem (it's a shame Garmin Forums use email by default as my account name; really shame).

Contacted jharms01 by PM day ago. Still no answer from him/her.
