2nd Marathon with no map/charts after upload

This is getting ridiculous now. Today I tried to upload a second marathon since September and again there was issues with the data. This time no charts at all and no map or elevation data. I tried emailing Tech Help with no response after the last marathon. Something is wrong and I need it fixed otherwise I need to find another running watch.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
I am sorry to hear your Garmin Forerunner is not working properly, and I would be happy to help you find a resolution for this issue. There is a chance the issue you are describing is software related.

If your device software has become corrupt, a re-install of this software may resolve your issue. Please attempt to re-install the firmware or your "device software" with our free WebUpdater program: www.garmin.com/webupdater

*To ensure compatibility, be sure you have the latest Training Center version, if you are utilizing this program. You can download Training Center here: http://www.garmin.com/trainingcenter

You might try doing a master reset as the unit may have gotten some corrupt data in it. This will clear out all data in the unit and reset it to factory defaults and settings. You will lose all user information (such as course, history, and workout data) that you have stored in your unit. If you wish to save this information before resetting your unit, you can save it to your computer using a PC interface cable and the Garmin Training Center software, or our website http://connect.garmin.com/help/start . Following are instructions on how to perform a master reset on your unit:

    1. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected 2. Press and hold the following buttons: MODE + POWER.
    3. Wait to see the screen that says, "Do you really want to erase all user data No/Yes?"
    4. Choose YES.

After the master reset please place your unit outside so that it has a clear view of the sky for 5 to 10 minutes so that the unit can acquire new satellite almanac data.

Wanted to post that this worked. I did both the reset AND the firmware re install so I can't say which fix resolved the issue but whichever it was it worked for me.
