It just keeps logging me out!!

Everytime I logon then I click on a thread it logs me out.
I log in, respond to a thread and it logs me out.
I log back in and it give me an error!

I did a remote desktop session with Garmin support who I suppose didnt believe me and they actually witnessed themselves (look for my other threads and you can see a few TEST ones from them). They investigated a few days then got back to me to say it was resolved. But is not! It's still logging me out.

I will get in touch with them again but if I am not the only one and you are also experiencing similar issues on your Mac can you please reply to this thread?

Thanks :)

OS X (Lion on Mac Pro) user of Safari AND Chrome and NEVER have log out problems. Sounds like Firefox is forgetting it's Cookies.
  • Fine on this Mac 10.7.2 and Firefox 8. Might want to check your Firefox security/privacy settings

Thanks for your replies. Im using MAC Leopard 10.6.8, Firefox 8.0.

I have tried with Safari and the same thing happens. It does not happen with any other forum I go to.

When Garmin Support did a remote desktop sharing session they never checked any of this.

So Im still at a loss and very frustrated with this issue! :(

Warming, the following comment is unlikely to be reassuring and possbily deemed irrelevant.

I strongly suspect the problem lies with something on you system that is peculiar to your system that clearly impacts with this forum. Is it Garmin's fault or yours? Difficult to answer that but in the scheme of things you are very likely to be the one in a million having problems because of some combination of applications and services is affecting Garmin Communicator.

It is nigh on impossible to ensure that every application or browser service works with everybody's system. Unfortunately, if you are one of those unlucky few you will likely as not have to seek local expertise or even reinstall your OS and start again

This is not only happening on Mac, I am on Windows and I have been having this problem for a long time, Firefox and IE

With windows, in internet options > security tab, if garmin.com is a trusted site, then the box for "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" should be unchecked.

Removing garmin.com from trusted sites has been the solution for some. I don't have it listed in my trusted sites, and all functionality works fine for me.

I cant deny that you might be correct on this one :o even though I dont know, dont think to have done anything to compromise the Garmin forum exclusively

Im 'glad' that I am not alone! By the way using Safari 5.1.1. have the same problem.
I could post the first quote ok, then edited my reply and added second quote ok. Then tried to edit the third time to add the third quote and it kept logging me in / redirecting/ then logging me out at least 5 times.. . eventually it let me login and post this!

I have just tested this theory and logging in using a PC on W7 at work and I still get the same issue, which proves what you suggest as not being the case :(

I saved a screenshot and as you can see I am still logged on yet I get the message of failed logins
