Creating workout - only 20 steps

Hi,

I am trying to create workout for cycling according to Chris Carmichael book The Time Crunched cyclist.

I have few workouts with more than 20 steps and in Garmin Connect and in Garmin Training Center I can create only workout with 20 steps. If I try to add 21. step I get pop up info "A workout can have only 20 steps".

Repeats are also counting like steps.

Is it possible to do something with this because it has no sense to me. What is the reason of that limitation??

P.S.
I am using EDGE 500

I found a way :) I'm using Forerunner 610, I sent the workout to my device, edited it on the it and was able to add 21st step!
