I got an eTrex 30 two weeks ago.
It's great, but sometimes it just randomly switches itself off. It's very annoying, especially if I'm navigating somewhere and it happens just before I need to make a turn.
I think it is a fatal crash, because when I start it up again immediately after the crash it searches for satellites (i.e. it doesn't do a hot start)
Is this a known problem?
Details about my device:
- Firmware version: 2.1.
- Map: Southern Africa DEM 2011.2 (only one enabled)
- Others: I have some South African road hazard POIs installed (speed cameras)
