Connect will not upload activities from Edge 800

Connect recognises my Edge 800 but will not let me upload the activities from it. The blue upload "progress" bar shows up for a few seconds as a blue line and then disappears. No data is uploaded.

I can download activities to Training Centre with no problem and also upload to RWGPS.

Any suggestions as to how to resolve this would be appreciated. I have hard re-set twice.

    If you are using Internet Explorer, be sure that Compatability View in the tools menu is set for garmin.com.

    That often is the solution to your type of problem.

    I have only just seen you reply thanks.

    I use Mac so it's Safari. I have tried Google Chrome too but the same problem occurs. The settings are as they have always been. It's only since the end of September that this seems to have started happening.

    I can upload manually by going in to the Garmin activities file in the Edge and uploading from there but it will not do the automatic "Upload All New/Selected Activities" commands.

    When you did the hard reset, that did not delete your history activities, did it?

    Perhaps there is something in the history files on your device that is confusing the Garmin Connect upload.

    I would copy the history .fit files from the 800 to my pc as backup, and then delete all history from the device, making sure that all of the .fit history files on the device are removed.

    The two resets I did got rid of the entire history so everything that predated the problem is gone. :confused:

    Hi. I have still not been able to resolve this issue. I wonder whether there is anyone from Garmin looking in who can help with this?:(

    Does garmin support really exist? I think not because they don't answer to my emails, don't respond on the forum, when i phone to italian support a pre-registered voice ask me thousand of things but nothing about my problem making me spend time and money.
    Toc-toc, Garmin, if you are alive give us an answer!

    Make sure that your GPX files have timestamps. GC will not load files that do not have timestamps on every trackpoint.

    But i tryied with old files too that before were loaded with no problems.
    A question:
    what is datestamp?

    Garmin italian support answered, but i solved by myself. The files i tryied to load were corrupted. I recovered them using mapsource.

    Hello Garmin. Are you there? Are you able to help with this?
    I still cannot load anything on to GC. I can load onto TC and other software no problem. It would be useful to use GC but why is it not working???
    I have hard reset and deleted all old files but no joy.

    Together with a very dodgy HR strap (I am on my 4th in 9 months) I am deeply unimpressed with the reliability of Garmin products.:(:confused:
