The new Montana is a great unit! However, a couple of important feature enhancements would make the unit MUCH more user friendly and practical:
1.) When you lock the screen (e.g. hit power button once while unit is on) it should also automatically dim the screen (i.e. brightness = 10%) - and keep it dim - until you unlock the screen. Yes, I know you can slide the brightness slider before you hit the lock icon, but that's too many button pushes if you're trying to hike quickly, reference your GPS as quickly as possible, jam the unit into your pocket quickly, and get going again. PITA #1.
2.) When you're viewing your map (on the map screen) you should be able to simply hit a button (one touch button of some sort) and register a waypoint for your CURRENT LOCATION - not where the red pin might be located (BTW, who cares about the red pin anyway). Currently, you have to exit out of the map screen and find the Waypoint icon to mark your current location. PITA #2.
3.) Some sort of indicator on the home screen that let's you know whether track logging is currently on or off - without having to drill into other menus to figure it out.

Oh, and...
4.) An AC Charger for the Lithium ION batteries that is EXTERNAL to the GPS unit. So you can take your spare battery and charge it in the AC charger while you're using another battery in your Montana.
