Garmin Training Center

Is it possible to upload my data from one computer to another ? I have all my data on my desktop MAC and want to access it on my laptop?

Thanks
  • There is no simple way to do this with GTC. AFAIK you cannot relocate the database file or point GTC to a different location. I use SportTracks and keep the datafiles in a Dropbox folder that allows me to access the information on my Mac or the laptop.

With GTC it will depend on yor device, but the easist way is probably just doing a direct import into the laptop GTC of the activity files from the Activity directory for your device. Failing that you can upload the activities a second time into your laptop from your device if you have not cleare them. Or you can export the activities from one GTC and import them into the other.

In training center, you can export an entire folder as a tcx file. You could then import that tcx file into training center on another computer.

I initially had been using only training center, and then I decided to use garmin connect as well. I was able to export from tc and load into gtc using one tcx file.

I don't know how much data you have and if there might be a size constraint in donig that though.

GTC has a "Backup" function under "File". It puts all your data into 1 file.
Make a copy of the file and its directry and rebuild the directry and file in your laptop.
Then after GTC is installed use the "Restore" function. Size makes no difference.
