Help with MicroSD Problem

Guys,
Like a dumb ass I formatted my friends Unit (Map62S). Now his base map has gone, anyway I can restore his unit to factory settings.

If you know somebody with a 62s, that is dumd enough to let you put your grubby fingers on it (sorry about the cheap shot, I could not resist), you could copy the files from that gps to the formatted one.

Hahahahaha that was a low shot :) Anyways it appears I didnt format the SDcard but the unit itself.... doh...... So I'm not sure how to get around this, I just want to put somemap on it so I dont hand him back a blank map. Is there any free basemaps out there?

Call Garmin Product Support. (800-800-1020) They could possibly hook you up with a basemap.

Guys thanks for the advice, I have talked to Garmin there suggestion is to buy a map (figures)..

TSAWCHUC thats just the help I was after, so will follow that up.
