Heart Rate stop registering on Oregon 450t

Part way through each hike, my Oregon 450t stops picking up the heart rate transmitter.

This seems to be after the 5.0 update.

I replaced the battery in the chest strap and it still does it. Sometimes after two hours, sometimes after 5 mins. Only power cycling the devices re-establishes the connection.

Work harder

You have to sweat up or add moisture to the straps to be able to a good contact and therefore a consistent reading.
So work harder.

It wouldn't work for two hours and then stop if it wasn't wet enough.

Besides, I usually pretty SOAKED by the time it stops recording.

I've been using these types of devices for almost a decade. I've been using this strap for four years. Yes, the first time this happened, I replaced the battery. It has happened each use since.

This began with the 5.0 upgrade...

I'm looking for anyone else that has noticed this behavior.
