Garmin Connect Explore default location

I was surprised when I clicked on Explore in Connect and the default location was near me, in Plano Texas.

Is Plano Texas the current default location for everyone, or did the recent update to GC include a default location near each user's home, as has been discussed?

Eufala, Alabama for me, which is about 200 miles away.

Mine is centered about 20 miles from my house, and most entries are from a weekend Corporate 5k run. That's probably the center of concentration of current activity in my area.

I doubt that is the case for me, as I am close to Atlanta with hundreds of activities, yet my default location in Alabama has just one activity.

Mine comes up about 30 miles away. That location is also where web sites try to auto locate me, based on my ISP address. That might be how they ID your location now.

Yes, having checked further, and I think that in my case it is ISP related also.

Sites such as Mapquest and Bing Maps default to Richardson, a suburb of Dallas. In my Explore Activities window, Richardson is exactly in the center of the map that it shows.

I live north of Albany, NY. My default map is Manhattan, which is 200 miles south. Its annoying because every time I hit the Back button after clicking on someone's activity, it reloads Manhattan again rather than the zip code I had chosen. Garmin needs to fix that soon. It should be a basic entry in the Personal Information section.

My default location in the explore tab is bogus also!!! True default location is Birmingham Alabama - Garmin connect says I'm in Dunwoody Georgia??? 160 miles east.
