Importing Polar Workouts to Garmin Connect

Hi all, I'm sure this has been discussed but I have been searching forever to find a solution to import all my workout history from polarpersonaltrainer.com to my Garmin Connect. I have exported all Polar workouts to .xml file, is there a way to get them into my Garmin Connect?

I just have about 5000km of training history I don't want to loose.. If worse comes to worse is there a way to manually enter workouts so I could just put in one workout with the total km's, avg hr, cad etc...?

It seems there is no information on the internet regarding this, if it is possible or not possible. Even Garmin doesn't seem to provide this information, is it not the sort of thing which people would come across fairly commonly??

Or do users not mind starting completly fresh when they buy a new device... :confused:

Ascent for macs will import polar .hrm files (done a lot)

From there you should be able to export and then manually upload to connect. (not tried)

There are some programs that work for this. Are kind of buggy but is one option: http://polarconverter.azurewebsites.net/

If anyone know an app better than this pls let me know.

I used the app RunGap on my iPhone.
You buy the "swag bag" in the app for 1 €/$ and then you can sync between all sorts of different training apps/websites.
It worked great for me.

I don't think this has anything to do with this topic. The issue here is that you have a load of data on the Polar training website that you want to convert to garmin connect.

Yes it has.
And you don't have to bother with exporting, importing or handling xml, fit or any other kinds of files manually.
It will take all the workouts on your Polar account and import them to Garmin Connect.
.. among other web based training services.

I had the same question.. and asked myself, why doesn't garmin(.connect) congratulate me (this time as well) for my new polar device? :)
