I have been using Garmin Connect for years without issue. However these 2 rides from Monday will not upload. Whenever I try I get "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again." All rides after work fine.

Can anyone assist? Or know any more good troubleshooting?

Fixed file myself, but I don't know the cause.

I found the issue with my two files I uploaded earlier today. I looked at the files in a text editor, and noticed that most (but not all) of the datapoints had a date of 2010-07-01 instead of 2011-08-29. I simply replaced all the dates with the correct one and it uploaded with no problem.

So I have the file uploaded, but I don't know why the dates got messed up.
  • I'm having trouble with uploads too. In my case it works ok for a direct, automatic upload of the current Activity from my 60CSx. It also works doing a manual upload of a .gpx from the microSD card in the 60CSx. But, if I edit a track with BaseCamp and export it Connect fails in the manual upload.

I suspect it's a problem with the XML. I can look at the BaseCamp file and see that the header is completely different from what I see in a file generated by the 60CSx. Maybe the Connect team ought to talk to the BaseCamp team once in a while.

I saved these files to my computer then did a manual upload and was able to load them fine.

Not sure what may have caused your issue. Possibly there is another file in the system that is corrupted?
