Garmin Connect and Edge 800 not uploading maps

Hi

I'm trying to upload my rides from my edge onto Connect. When I click on the "upload new activities" I get the following:

UnsupportedDataTypeException: Your device is not supported by this application.

I'm a real technophobe so any help in laymans terms would be much appreciated.

What is your OS & browser ?
Have you try "manual uploading" ? Activities (FIT files) are located into "Garmin/Activities" directory of Edge 800.

Hi.

I use windows 7 and IE9.0.

Thinking about it the trouble started when I updated explorer to 9.0, unfortunately I have no idea how to rectify the problem.

I have tried manually uploading but once I've selected the file and click upload selected activity nothing happens, the screen seems to freeze.

Any help will not render my purchase useless!
