I want to use my new etrex Vista HCx in the car.
I see lots of mini-USB in-car chargers advertised - is it OK to use one of these?
I'm slightly bothered by the fact that they are chargers, rather than than power supplies. Anybody any comments or experience on this?
I thought about buying an actual Garmin power cable - but it's not possible!
Garmin list the Part Number: 010-10563-00 as compatible. But they don't stock it, and neither do any on-line retailers.
Garmin also list Part Number: 010-10203-00 - but the Vista HCx isn't in the list of compatible models and from the unclear photo it doesn't look like a mini-USB plug - I think it is for the old style 4 pin power/data connector used on the old Vista.
