My activities not uploading from my 610 to Garmin connect

I forgot to charge my FR610 Friday night and the battery went dead at 10 miles on Saturday. Since then I've been able to charge and use my watch, but the activities won't upload to Garmin connect. They are still in the history, but I can't get them to my dashboard. Does anyone know how I can force send without losing my data?
Thanks!

Having a similar issue with uploading my last run - my battery did not die though. Neither the ANT stick nor garmin connect will recognise the last workout, though it is in my history on the watch. If I attempt to force an upload, nothing happens. (History --> Options --> Upload). I have tried restartgin both watch and computer but no joy.

    Help!

I'm not sure if this will be of any help to you, but my FR610 ran out of power today and the current activity wasn't automatically uploaded to connect after I fully charged the watch. What I did to solve this issue was to start a new dummy activity, let it run for about 10 seconds and when I pressed stop, both activities were uploaded to connect.

    Upload failure here as well

I've had this since July, and it won't upload anything past 9.1.2011. I can view runs on my Garmin 610, but it's as though they don't exist with any uploading software, so it's apparently an issue with the watch itself, perhaps corrupting the data.

    same issue - 405

I'm having the same issue with my Garmin 405. It repeatedly tries to transfer data, but ANT agent says last transfer was on 9/1/11 and it failed.
I thought I might be having a battery issue so I purposely let it run until the battery completely died then fully recharged it. But that didn't solve to problem either.

got a fix for the 405 from Support

Went to the 'help' link on Garmin Connect and selected the email option to send my problem to support. This is the fix I got and it worked for the 405. I'll also post the exact issue I gave them below the fix so you can see the level of detail I gave them and to see if your issues are the same as mine. Warning: The fix will erase all history in your device:

"In instances when the Forerunner 405, 405Cx or 410 may become non-responsive it may be necessary to reset the Forerunner to its original factory settings.
Follow these steps to reset the device:
*Warning - A Master Reset will erase all saved data on the Forerunner
1.Press and hold the Start/Stop and Lap/Reset buttons simultaneously
2.Keep both buttons pressed for 8 seconds or until the screen goes blank
3.Then release the Start/Stop button and continue to hold the Lap/Reset button for an additional 3 seconds
    4.Release the Lap/Reset button
5.Select the Enter (Start/Stop) button to clear user data
Once these steps are complete, follow the setup prompts. Set profile options and charge the battery completely before using."

my support request detail that I gave them:
"There is no error message on Garmin Connect and my 9/1 workout is showing on Garmin Connect, but my 6 workouts since then have not transferred. That same 9/1 workout is also the last workout in the history folder you direct me to below on my c:\ drive. So I'm assuming the device is not fully communicating with the ANT stick.
What is happening: I plug the ANT stick into a USB port, the ANT agent goes through establishing connection, the data transfer status changes to Receiving activities, then Receiving laps, then Receiving tracks, then goes right back to the message of last transfer on 9/1. While the ANT agent is doing that, the device says transferring data, and the status bar fills twice, then the device goes back to the time/date display. But all my activities since 9/1 are still in the history and activities on the device, nothing since 9/1 is in the history folder on my c:/ drive and nothing since 9/1 is on Garmin Connect. If I leave the ANT stick plugged into the USB port, the agent and device will go through the same establishing connection and transferring data routine exactly every 2 minutes.
I have tried upgrading the unit software per your directions below and still have the above issues.
The 405 does not have a mode and power button for the master reset per those instruction below, however I have tried the reset per the 405 owner's manual and still have the above issues."

    Good luck everyone!

610 not uploading to Garmin Connect

I had a 405 and changed to the 610 but had difficulty uploading runs using the 610. I am using a Mac with Os 10.6.8 with Safari and it had worked previously with the 405. After updating to Communicator Plugin_3.0.1 I have had no further issues

I have a somewhat different problem: My USB stick ANT stick keeps saying its not active even though the USB is plugged in correctly. Getting a new USB ANT stick and re-loading the software is not helping. Any ideas on how to fix this?
