Yet another "310xt won't upload data" thread

I am yet another sucker that purchased a 310xt device. I've been trying REALLY hard not to bash garmin on Amazon, BeginnerTriathle and other sites but I would hate for anyone else to spend their money on such a defective product. Seriously, this is BY FAR the worst experience I've had with any fitness product. I've been able to upload most of my workouts but not before doing 2 "hard resets". Tonight I was trying to upload my latest workout and the Ant+ Agent as always was spinning around "searching for devices"... I tried uploading manually (which is the only thing that has ever worked for me) and nothing... my workout wouldn't show in my list of available workouts to upload. I went to history and tried forcing the upload but that didn't work either. I've searched google extensively for a solution but everything goes back to "hard reset". I'm honestly so sick of this. I can't believe Garmin can get away with sh.t like this. If your device doesn't work then pull it off the shelves and quit taking people's money. You must have a million bugs in your bug tracking system (if you have one) related to this issue. I would really like a resolution to this problem or I would be more than happy to take my money or my rant elsewhere.

BTW - Some people have suggested to try a different browser. This is NOT a browser related issue since I've tried 4 different browsers to no avail.
  • Understand your frustration; thing is, though, by and large 310xts do work. Thousands of users uploading activities to their computers & to connect every day. So, it must be something specific about your watch/ant stick/computer that is the problem.

    Can you try uploading from another computer?
    Do you know anyone else who owns an ANT stick so you could test whether yours is faulty?
    What OS/browser etc are you using?
    Have you tried reinstalling the software for the ANT stick?

    It works when used properly...apart from some known issues which, while annoying, do allow the device to be used.

    As suggested, go back to basics and identify where the problem may be. Maybe go back to the retailer and have them demonstrate correct usage.

    And if you still don't like it, I am more than happy to take your 'defective' item off your hands; at a suitable discount of course as it is 'defective'
