I have recently purchased the 2460LMT (August 2011) and am using a MAC with Lion. I have downloaded the Garmin Lifetime Map Updater and it has informed me that i have the European 2012.20 map to install and that it is waiting to install on my device. It is saying that the device has the older 2011 version but having downloaded the 2012 map over 15 hrs through opening the DMG file it has completed. Why is the Lifetime map updater saying that i have an older map when i don't and when i do try to download it it says -
"nu maps lifetime Europe download failed Please check your internet settings and try downloading the map again".
Also trying to do a firmware update, after downloading it and ejecting the device, it fails to reboot for me to turn off and re-connect and press done to say the update is complete. Could the software update put things right?(if i could do it that is!) Really getting fed up with it and wish i had never bought the damn thing!
