topo 24k for Arizona

After reading the description of topo 24k which is qouted below

I don't see routable roads in the map

I made a route between 2 points and the device made a straight line as shown below

Im I missing something

Hit the goto button, then you should have an option to recalculate on road, if your gps is capable to do that.
