Exporting activity data?

Needing some help. Is there a way to export ALL of your activity data, including details such as time, distance, splits, calories, etc. for ALL activities you have uploaded to Garmin Connect, into a single CSV file?

I am aware of the "Export to CSV" option available under the Reports category, however this only exports Progress Summary information, which happens to be the basic cumulative data and not the individual details for multiple activities.

Due to the recent issues with Garmin Connect, my genuine concern is the total failure on Garmin's end that results in the loss of my data for the last 1+ years. I currently do not store the totality of this data on my watch; inconsistent issues have forced me to reset my Forerunner 110 every so often and this info has been lost. The only viable copy of my activities are found on Garmin Connect. My wish is to secure an exportable file of complete details.

If this is NOT available, would others suggest this is a necessary option which Garmin Connect needs to make available? Is this something that they are seriously considering?

I appreciate your help!
Mike
  • I'm new to this, but look under
    C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\1163467\Activities

For me the life of the device is there in .FIT files. Those can be uploaded to GC or imported to Training Center. It's not .csv, but it's something.

Not really IMO - you can make a copy of your data before you upload to GC so there's no need for them to spend development time on such a trivial item. They have a lot more things to spend dev money on I guess.

Only Garmin know, but I doubt it. The usefulness of knowing your split time of runs/rides down to a few seconds accuracy years after the event whilst interesting, is of little practical value to Garmin. Or a User.
