I have tried downloading software on my MAC as well as Microsoft O/S. Both systems will not recognize the ANT device...inserting into the USB port, it's as if the device is not recognized. Any suggestions?
If it's easy enough, go back to your retailer and have the conversation with them in the first instance.
Try someone else's USB stick
If you are absolutely certain you have tried everything, and everything you have tried is correct, then I'd suggest you arrange a replacement USB stick.
