Some device updates have a note on the download page stating that the update is not yet released for use and will be used at my own risk .Do I have to wait until this note is removed before I download or do I ignore it ?

It's like any other beta software -- there are more risks with it. Nobody is forcing you to download the software, so it's really your decision.
