Max Speed error

Every once in a while I'll get a top speed from my downloaded data that is incredibly high. For example: I spent five hours on mountain trails Friday at an average speed of about 6 miles an hour. Max speed reported was 82 mph! :eek:Should have been somewhere around 28 mph. Same thing for yesterday. Max speed reported at over 60 mph. It's kind of pissing me off!:confused:

Exactly the same issues since they "upgraded" the Garmin Connect... Also major issues just trying to log into the forums to post this message using Safari!! ...ARRGGGHHH... Garmin Get it sorted.

Max Speed Error

Using a Forerunner 410. Since Garmin upgraded the Garmin Connect interface i know get Max speed errors...e.g. showing 2,760KM per Minute. I have noticed in the forums some others having this issue on other devices like the Edge 500.. Also had major issues just logging into the forums using Safari. If you have the same problem please post so that Garmin will fix this. Very, Very annoying....

I have just noticed the same thing with mine too. The data on Training centre is fine but when uploaded to Garmin Connect it claims that I managed over 2,500 kph, which is rather unlikely.

I have manually changed it by moving the decimal points as that seems to be the issue causing the errors.

Max Speed 100 Times Too Much!

Apparently GC is broken. Suddenly my max speed has jumped by a factor of 100!
Here is the ride. The actual max speed is 14.68mph per the tcx file. GC lists max speed at 1468.2mph.

I have the same problem. Max Speed(Best Pace) times are all less than 10 seconds since the update.

Me too!
Up until 7-16 GC has been fine, all data looks correct.
Today I loaded a track recorded on 7-19 and my max speed is 100 times too much. Shows 1468.2mph when the tcx file shows 14.68mph.

Same Problem

Same problem

I too have suddenly seen my max speeds downloaded from my Edge 705 to Garmin Connect jump from normal to ridiculous speeds in excess of 4,000 miles per hour. I should be arriving home from my ride almost instantaneouly after my first peddle stroke! Maybe just coincidence, but this all started at just about the time I logged into Strava for the first time and created an account, then downloaded a single ride. Has anyone else with this problem recently created an account on Strava and downloaded a ride?

I'm faster

apparenty I hit 17K+ km/hr last Wednesday. Seems like this issue has existed since March 20th. I have yet to check training centre so I will get back to you on this shortly.
