I have a problem with connecting my Ecoroute HD cable to my nuvi 3790T. The Ecoroute cable is connected to the OBD port on my 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK. When I turn the engine on I am able to successfully pair the nuvi with the Ecoroute and it works correctly (shows all the gauges etc). The problem is when I turn the engine off the nuvi shuts down automatically and so does the cable and then when I power everything on again the nuvi detects the cable and reports that it is a new car setup and it needs to go through the setup process again. It does not automatically reconnect to the cable. This happens on every startup. I tried this cable in another car, a 2001 Honda Prelude and in that case the cable did automatically reconnect with the nuvi 1490t inside the car every time. So I believe that this could be a compatibility problem with Mercedes-Benz. By the way I am running the most up to date software on the nuvi. It is fully patched. I also tried resetting both the cable and the nuvi without effect. Anyone else run into this problem?
