downloading maps for Europe

Yesterday I purchased the download for the Europe Maps on the garmin website. I bought a 4 GB Micro SD Card, plenty of space for these maps.

I have, however, tried to download/install them three times and each time it times out after hours. I get the following message at approx 25%

"method with the requested number of arguments not found (session may have timed out)"

can anyone help?
  • It's easy in Basecamp too. Just select them, right click the selection then 'send to'. There's also an icon but I never use it.

But first you have to find what you want.

With my database covering 17 years, BC does not have the ability to easily find what is wanted. As MS holds it's database in system files and folders it is easy to organise. In BC it's all held internally.
  • Unfortunately if you have a large database loading it to a new program is almost always a problem. You could stick with Mapsource or spend some time reorganising your data, but you're off topic in this thread, which is about downloading maps for Europe :)
