exporting activity (map) from connect

I can not find any reference to this in FAQs or past posts, if ive missed it im sorry.

I have found an activity http://connect.garmin.com/activity/97851197 that id like to download in to say MMR to edit a little but I can not find a way of doing this. First is it possible and then how do I do this?

If you have a Garmin Connect account, you can log in and then export that ride as a tcx, gpx, or kml file. Those are pretty standard formats, so mapmyride should be able to import one of them.

yeah, but this is not one of my activties. It is someone elses and for the life of me I cant find any reference on that link/page to export it. I probably cant see it for looking :)

I just downloaded a tcx file from the activity that you provided the link to.

Are you sure you're logged in to Garmin Connect? If you are not, I don't think you can export someone else's activity.

BTW, the export button is in the banner just above the map.
