Can no longer see map in Nuvi 255

I last used my Nuvi 255 a couple of months ago in Europe with a map on an SD card.

But today, I turned it on and I no longer see most of the base map of the U.S. that was on the main unit when I purchased it. It shows the main routes/interstates, but all the streets are gone.

Installed Maps:
City Navigator North America NT 2010.10 Limited, Deluxe All Regions, Apr 09

It's fine if I "go" to Germany, using the SD card, but no sign of any detail in the U.S.

What could have happened to it? And how can I retrieve it?

Problem solved after calling Garmin.

I thought I had gone through all possible menus on the Nuvi to see if there might be any way I could fix this but I never saw anything. But, the lady at Garmin led me through to a menu (tools>settings>map>map info) I had never seen in which there were a couple of items that could be checked or unchecked. It turned out that there was no check in the box for the City Navigator North America map. Once checked, the map was back to being visible.

I know I had never unchecked that box, so I have no idea how it got unchecked. But it's fixed now and I was very happy with Garmin's help. (Only had to wait online 3 or 4 minutes.)
