pretty cool Idea in fact a site I use for logging my miles has recently implemented this feature. They call it Auto PR detection.

I'm using an Excel spreadsheet to capture this at the moment but would love to have this feature available on Connect.

Auto PR Detection + Custom PR settings would make the PR feature a lot more interesting than it currently is
  • Agreed, as there needs to be new goals as you age. I know I'm never going to hit the PRs I had since my first activity upload in 2004.

I would also love to see the custom records option. I currently record my PRs from sprints and other shorter distances from interval workouts separately.
  • I would love for the Personal Records page to automatically detect, or at at least allow for, a PR within one of my runs.

For example, just now I've done a fast 4 mile run. Within those 4 miles I've achieved a new personal record for a 5 km run, but if I were to pick it for my 5 km PR, the PR page shows the duration of the entire run, which is of course a lot longer than whatever 5 km runs I do. So, if I want to compare activities PR-wise, I can only do so if I run exactly 5k, or exactly 10k.

Nike+ already does what I want. It automatically detects which 5km part of a run is the fastest, and reports this as a 5km PR. I'd love to see the same feature implemented in Garmin.

    Fully agree.
