GPSMap 276C screen: North and vehicle pointer not advancing after/during turns

This just started happening: The GPS is tracking quite nice, then a turn is made and the North pointer and vehicle pointer stay where they were. If you zoom out or in, it catches up--until the next turn.

I've reloaded the firmware--it's the most current and no change.

Would anyone hazard a guess as to what's happening here?

Does it do this in the simulator mode?

Have you tried doing a full reset of the unit?

What maps are you using and have you tried reloading
the maps?

I had a problem back in April while going through Memphis,Tn
where it looked like the map stopped updating on the screen.

I had tried the zoom in/out but not sure if that was it, I had to look
away from the unit to keep an eye on the traffic. When it cleared
up a little I looked back at the unit and it was working fine.

Have not seen that again, was using 2011.4 maps.

I looked back at the track log and it looked normal in that area.

Hopefullly you can find a fix.

Thanks Mark! I tried two things so don't know which fixed my problem. 1) reloading the map set--it's 2011-4 and 2) a full master reset.

Will keep an eye on this for a while and see what will change--and when it changes--what preceeded the problem.

Still have to set all my personalization back to the way it was--being a creature of habit--it bugs me!
