switch between multipe GPX files

For handheld units (on-the-trail) eg Dakota 20, I would like the capability to switch between different GPX files so I hold more Geocache data .
eg
I could have 2 GPS files

Area1.GPX (2,000 geocaches)
Area2.GPX

So if I was travelling in two different areas I could deactivate or switch between two different sets of data.
