Garmin Connect Explore

Hi, I am new to Garmin Connect. Anyhow, I want to view my friends training so I thought it would be as easy as entering the UK in the "Starting Near" box and entering his username in the filter for "Username". But the system says it cannot find any results. We both use an FR60. Is this functionality limited to GPS only? If not, would someone please explain where I am going wrong. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, it appears that it only works for GPS workouts. I tried several ways to find my non-GPS activities, but I was unsuccessful.
