nüvi 2460LT Bluetooth and Phone issues

Hi,

I recently purchased a nüvi® 2460LT and the GPS side of this is great. Hoever I have concerns with the Bluetooth, Phone book and startup

- Upon connection to my Nokia E71 the Nuvi Resets itself after Attemping to upload my phone book. Have to cancel on the phone so it does not make it to the end.
- Occationally If I leave the car for a short period, automatic shut down. It wont start back up again when I attempt to turn ot on. Usually have to leave the unit alone for an hour or so before it responds.
- Sometimes after I get the phone to connect I have no bluetooth sound form the Nuvi. The phon indicates it it connected as with the Nuvi will even accept and make calls. To use the phone I have to hit the handset button on the phone and use that instead...Only way I have founf of fixing this is deleting the paring on both units and starting again.
- Some times it will take me a few attempts to delete the paring form the nuvi side. It wont delete.

I have only owned this unit for 8 weeks. I am very disapointed. I may have to go back to using my blue ant bluetooth module...get a refund and purchase a very basic Garmin Nuvi

I have sent it away for repair so will update here once I get some answers.

2460 Bluetooth Phone

I have been seeing a similar problem with the Bluetooth on my 2460. As soon as I pair it, the Nuvi thinks we are in a phone conversation and won't announce anything. If I tell it to Hang up, nothing happens. If I tell it to switch to handset, it drops the call and starts to work fine.?????? SteveG73 ...What was resolved with yours????

I just bought my Nuvi2460 a few days ago and I noticed right away the problem with the Bluetooth. Mine connects sometimes....about half the time. Nothing I do makes it connect. I have no other issue with it other then this. What did you end up doing to resolve this?

2460 Bluetooth

I bought a 2460 in March 2011 and have a similar issue with Bluetooth.When i activate bluetooth with my phone and finally get it to work it works fine until i turn the unit off.Then 2 things happen one the unit will not switch back on unless i hold the start button down for more then 10 seconds.Two if i leave the unit turned off and then try to turn it on after about 2 hours the battery is flat. I returned the unit and received a new one thinking the unit was faulty same thing was happing with the second unit so after some trials this was my conclusion if you have bluetooth activated when you turn the gps off even though the screen is blank it is still some how connected to the phone and drains the battery after about 2 hours. I have spoken and e-mailed Tec support but all they want me to do is send unit back i told them why don't they do a trial with a unit before i send it back but no response.
So if you are buying this GPS for the Bluetooth function i would not recommend until they fix this issue if you do not care about Bluetooth then this is a great GPS.

Hello. I buy few ago a 2460LT and i have HTC wildfire phone.

Garmin connect via bluetooth to HTC and everything is ok. I can search the phonebook and other stuff.

When i make a call and when i finish the call my HTC say error android is not working well and the HTC restart. Every time when me or man on other side of phone close the converstation the phone restart.

What can i do to repair this restarting phone??
