Edge 800 UnsupportedDataTypeException: Your device is not supported by this applicati

For some reason I just started getting this message:
UnsupportedDataTypeException: Your device is not supported by this application.

I have an Edge 800 and I am using Internet Explorer 9

Any Ideas?

Short answer:

IE 9 is the culprit.

Try this.

With IE open go up top. Click Tools and Compatibility View Settings.

In the Add Website box type garmin.com

Click Add and then Close and then try again.
