Nüvi 2350 - problems after update

Hi everybody,
i recently bought Nuvi 2350 (in saturday), and today i decided to register it.
I grabbed a chance to get free map update, so i downloaded MapUpdater.
I also had to install .net v4, and later I rebooted computer.
MapUpdater started, i attached Nüvi - it recognised it and also my computer recognised it (as "mass storage device").

When MapUpdater finished updating firmware, i did as it asked me to do:
1. i unplugged Nuvi
2. i started it up
3. waited for all loadings to be done
4. waited for main menu
5. shutted it down
6. attached it back to USB

But now! It's not recognised by my computer anymore!
When i plug it in, it shows "communication with PC" style of screen, and computer says "unknown USB device attached". it stays as this for ~10 seconds or such, and later proceeds to main menu!
What did i do wrong, how to fix it? I already mailed Garmin's Tech team... - you have idea what now? Thank you...

If I missed forum, please transfer it to the proper one - i saw only "troubleshooting"... thanks again.

what happens if you start up the machine wait for it to load and then plug it into the computer and see is the computer will detected it and also try it in multiple USB slots.

I had the same issue and after swapping USB connecters it works. but does not work if I plug it into the usb in front of the Computer but only works on the ones in the back of the computer on the Motherboard of the Computer

Yeah now i've spotted that neither my USB card reader neither my USB stick work on *ANY* port - everywhere "unknown USB device" - i've tried to do sys restore, but i've gave up after it was at same point for 10 minutes, i resetted it, and volia, usb sticks working again! now let me see if i can update Garmin maps now! i'll report back later!

It works now, happily upgrading... thanks for listenint go mr. Panic :cool:

NO! nononono :\
I tried to upgrade maps, and i left my computer on into the night
at morning it was still showing 5 minutes of downloading/transfering to Nuvi, but system was halted (stucked) - i resetted it and now back again same result! :\

Well that was great news for a short time. :)

so what happens now when you add your USB sticks into the machine?

can you try to use web updater to make sure you have the latest ver. of the firmware
