Tcx/Gpx anonymous export

Hi,

Up until yesterday, it was possible to obtain tcx/gpx files for public workouts without being logged in to connect.garmin.com by using the urls (for example):

http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/activity-service-1.0/tcx/activity/83638060?full=true
http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/activity-service-1.1/gpx/activity/83638060?full=true

Now, this has been changed and you must be signed in as *any* garmin user to export workouts. Was this done on purpose and if not are there plans to put it back how it was before?

Many Thanks
Murdel

    Hi
I'd like to second this as I've also noticed this.
You used to be able to open public GPX & KML files directly from Google Maps. Further digging shows it's a HTTP 403 error.

    Specifically...
I use Google Calendar and enter into an event's "Where" field the url to the public KML (or GPX) file as copied from Garmin Connect.
GCal then provides a "map" link which opens Google Maps directly and loads the data from the specified URL. This has recently stopped working.

so to view this KML file
the direct GMap url auto-loading the KML is this
  • Export TCX file

I'm experiencing the same issue.. This problem has only recently occurred as everything worked fine last week.

Note - This issue has also been posted in the Developer forum:
