Will Oregon 550t support a MicroSD larger than 4GB?

I just got a 550t for my birthday on Wednesday.
I have a 16GB MicroSDHC card.
Is there any chance that will work in my 550t?
I saw some posts that indicated that 4GB is the maximum.
Just wondering if the 550t might possibly accept the larger card and just use 4GB of it. Which would be fine. I think.

Thanks for any help or advice!

The Oregon 550 will accept the larger card but the total map sets is limited to 4000 map tiles and 4GB. So there will be a lot of room for saved tracks and photos on your card.

OK, thanks. I found a 4GB card so I may just use that.

I forgot to mention that you may want to have some extra space for BirdsEye aerials and/or CustomMaps, so the larger card may be useful there.

Ahhh, I see. The BirdsEye Imagery is handled differently.
I'm going to pull some down and see how much space I need.
Maybe I will switch to the larger card.

    Thanks!

I have the 550t it works just fine with 8gb, around I have 4 gb of maps and 6gb of birdseye on my very cheap microsd(the topo 100k it comes with eats a full 2.8 gb on it's internal storage.)
