gpsmap60csx and maps

Hello

I have a map60csx and have installed shonkymaps to it.

I presume it sort of overlays the shonkymap onto the base map that is in the map 60 because when I zoom out I can see the whole world map.

My question is this, can I get rid of this world map and only have a small map of the area I want on it. For example, I wish to go to the Victorian Alps in Australia, so I would like to select that map area in Mapsource and only have that transfer and display in the Map60. Is that possible.

Thanks

You can select or de-select maps on the 60csx. Now mine is on loan so I am answering from memory, and its been a while since I did that. On the map screen hit MENU and then scroll right to about the fifth icon on top. You should have a list of maps existing in your GPS. Select the one you want, un-check the ones you don't want.
