nuvi 670 vs. 3790

Is satellite acquisition 'better' with the 3790? That is, does the 3790 use a different technology?

I checked the manuals for both and in the appendices they both show the same acquisition times:

Warm: < 1 second
Cold: < 38 seconds
Factory Reset: < 45 seconds.
