Uncommanded Shutdown of 62st

Had unit for only about 3 months, came new

After unit has been on for only a few minutes and scrolling through pages, either forward or backwards, when I attempt to select the Compass page the device shutsdown on its own.

I seem to remember reading about some similar type issues with this series of device, but I can't find any articles or forum posts that actually describe this problem. I'm fairly convinced that it has something to do with the compass, as that is the only page it shutsdown on when attempting to select it. Has anyone heard of or experianced this problem? Looking for advice and solutions, this problem is not acceptable.

    I updated device to version 2.8, unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem. It still shuts down when selecting the compass after the unit has been on for a few minutes. The occurrence is not consistent as to when and how it shuts down. One moment it will go to compass but then as you page through and go back it will shut down on you.

    I'm unwilling to update to the beta version, considering the problem I'm having and as the approved update did not fix it, I think the beta could only complicate the issue. Unless someone else has heard of this problem and knows a fix, I'm gonna have to try tech support.
